MGD Accessions Overview
The Mediterranean Germplasm Database includes more than 59,000 accessions (of which 22,000+ historical records) from all over the world. Our exploration teams have collected over 12,000 samples since 1971, mostly from Africa and Southern Europe. The map below shows the sampling locations for more than 12,000 accessions. Click the blue markers on the map to view more detailed information on the different accessions.
