  • Long activity in Antarctic science. Research interests recently extended to the Arctic (see NySMAC, TUNU), for both comparative work with the Antarctic, and analysis of the impact of climate change, very marked and fast in the Arctic regions. High number of expeditions
  • Continuous activity in SCAR since the inception of PNRA in 1985, in the WG in Life Sciences and several Expert/Action Groups. Deep involvement in the major SCAR biological programmes (EASIZ, EVOLANTA, EBA, AntEco, ANT-ERA), Convenor/Chair of sessions of SCAR Open Science Conferences, Biology Symposia and Workshops
